Adventures with Meli

This is a series of essays describing what happened to me as I exited the traditional academia path to wander about and try to live as a Classicist on my own terms. Or, to use the website’s name, it’s sort of a “what happened after I crossed the Rubicon”. Some of these essays are deeply personal, some comic, some sad, some thoughtful, all an articulation of what I’ve been thinking about since May 20, 2023, when I got on a plane to Greece, and completely changed my life.
